Growing up on Lake Conway in the Central Florida area, I started fishing at an early age. Every day after school, I would hurry to finish my homework to go bream fishing at the boat ramp. When I turned 10 years old, my father bought a 13' classic Boston Whaler and we started fishing on the lake together. It wasn't 6 months after purchasing that boat we moved up to a 17' Boston Whaler and visited the Florida Key's for the first time. I still remember this day, fishing the Islamorada Hump in that bathtub of a boat and catching my first mahi. That was it...I was hooked on blue water fishing! We spent many years fishing up and down the east coast of Florida. At the age of 18, I earned my Captain's License. Today, I am blessed to still fish with my father, and now my son is able to join in on the excitement. I enjoy seeing family's fish together, as I believe fishing brought my family closer together.
